The Philadelphia 76ers (Sixers for short) were founded in 1939 and joined the National Basketball Association (NBA) in 1949. They are apart of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference in the NBA. They have won three NBA Titles, nine Conference Championships, and eleven Division Titles. Their last NBA Title was won in the 1982-1983 season. The last time they made it to the NBA Championship was in the 2000-2001 season, however, they came up short.
The Sixers play all of their home games at the Wachovia Center. They share this arena with the Philadelphia Flyers.

Wilt "The Stilt" Chamberlain, #13 played center for the Sixers from 1965-1968. Standing in at 7 feet, 1 inch tall, he was a dominant force on the basketball court. As a Sixer, "The Stilt" was a NBA champion, 3x NBA MVP, and 4x NBA All-Star. Although traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in 1968, he ended his career with 31,419 points, 23,924 rebounds, and 4,643 assists.
Charles Barkley, #34 was the power forward for the Sixers from 1984-1992. As a Sixer, he was an 5x NBA All-Star and named to the All-Rookie Team in 1985. He was an aggressive and outspoken player who earned the nicknames "Sir Charles" and "The Round Mound of Rebound". During his career, he scored 23,757 points, had 12,546 rebounds, and made 4,215 assists.
Allen Iverson, #3 was a guard for the Sixers from 1996-2006. He was picked 1st overall in the 1996 NBA Draft. Playing for the Sixers, he was NBA Rookie of the Year in 1997, a 7x All-NBA selection, the NBA MVP in 2001, a 3x steals leader, and 4x NBA scoring champion. Iverson had a falling out with the team and was eventually traded. However, he stills plays today.
Julius "Dr. J" Erving, #6 played small forward for the Sixers from 1976-1987. With his help, the Sixers won the 1983 NBA Title. As a Sixer, he was NBA MVP in 1981, an 11x NBA All-Star, 7x All-NBA selection, and 2x NBA All-Star Game MVP. Playing with the Sixers for his entire career, he retired with 30,026 points, 2,272 steals, and 10,525 assists.
Andre Iguodala, #9 has been a guard/forward for the Sixers since 2004. The 9th overall pick in the 2004 draft, he has shown the beginning of a promising career in the NBA. After four years with the team, he has averaged 14.8 points per game, 5.7 rebounded per game, 4.1 assists per game, 1.9 steals per game, and .4 blocks per game.
