Philadelphia Phillies

The Philadelphia Phillies were established in 1883. They are a member of the East Division of the National League in Major League Baseball (MLB). As one of the oldest continuous, one-name, one-city franchise in all of American professional sports, the Phillies have won two World Series rings and six National League pennants. Their most recent victory in the World Series occurred in 2008, beating the Tampa Bay Rays in five games to take home the World Series Crown.

The Phillies play their home games at Citizens Bank Park, which was officially opened in 2004.

Mike Schmidt, #20 played third base for his entire career with the Phillies from 1972-1989. Throughout his career, he was a 12x All-Star selection, 10x Gold Glove winner, 3x National League MVP, World Series champion and World Series MVP in 1980. He hit 548 home runs, drove in 1,595 runs, and has a career batting average of .267.

Steve Carlton, #32 was a pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies from 1972-1986. As a Phillie, he was a 7x All-Star selection, a World Series champion, Gold Glove winner, and 4x Cy Young Award winner. During his career, he compiled 329 wins compared to 244 losses, had 4,136 strikouts, and had an earned run average (ERA) of 3.22.

Jimmy Rollins, #11 has been the starting shortstop for the Philadelphia Phillies since the 2000 season. Since then he has been a 3x All-Star selection, World Series champion in 2008, 2x Gold Glove Winner, and 2007 National League MVP. So far in his career, he has a batting average of .277, 125 home runs, 544 runs batted in (RBIs), and has stolen 295 bases.

Ryan Howard, #6 started his career in 2004 as the first baseman for the Phillies. During his reign as a Phillie, he was the National League Rookie of the Year in 2005, an All-Star selection and National League MVP in 2006, a World Series champion, and a Home Run Derby winner. He has an overall batting average of .279, 177 home runs, and 499 RBIs.

Cole Hamels, #35 has been a starting pitcher with the Phillies since 2006. Since then he has a record of 38 wins to 23 losses, 518 stikeouts, and an ERA of 3.43. He has been an All-Star selection in 2007, National League Championship Series MVP, World Series MVP, and a World Series Champion in 2008.
