Philadelphia Flyers

The Philadelphia Flyers were established in 1967. They are members of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference in the National Hockey League (NHL). Nicknamed the Broad Street Bullies, the Flyers won the Stanley Cup in 1974 and 1975. They have made five trips to the Stanley Cup Finals since, but have come up empty each time. The Flyers have an all-time winning percentage of .577, which is ranked second best in NHL behind the Montreal Canadiens.

Since being founded the Flyers play all of their home games on Broad Street in Philadelphia. First, they played at the Spectrum and now they play at the Wachovia Center.

Bobby Clarke, #16 played his entire career with the Flyers from 1969-1984. As the team's center and captain, he led the Flyers to two Stanley Cup victories and was a 3x NHL MVP. He scored 358 goals and had 852 assists in 1,144 games. After he retired he became the General Manager of the Flyers and still holds that title today.

John LeClair, #10 played left wing for the Flyers from 1994-2004. As a Flyer, he was a 5x All-Star, apart of the "Legion of Doom", and scored 333 goals. His statistics with the Flyers has earned him a spot on the team's top ten list for goals scored.

Keith Primeau, #25 played center and was captain of the Flyers from 1999-2006. As a Flyer, he scored 87 goals and had 126 assists in 312 games. He was also named an All-Star selection in 2004.

Bernie Parent, #1 played goaltender for the Flyers from 1967-1971 and then again from 1973-1979. In his career with the Flyers, he recored 36 shutouts and had a save percentage of .914. He was apart of the Stanley Cup Champion teams in 1974 and 1975 as well as an All-Star selection in the same years.

Mike Richards, #18 has been the starting center and captain for the Flyers since 2005. He has scored 49 goals and has made 92 assists in his three seasons with the team. In 2008, he was an All-Star selection, the Flyer's MVP, and a Philadelphia fan favorite.
